Privacy Policy

Summary

Here is a quick overview of how ImageDocResizer handles your files and information:

  • Your uploaded files are processed solely to perform your requested conversion or compression and are never sold, rented, or shared.
  • Single image resizing is handled directly in server memory without saving files to disk.
  • Batch files are held in temporary storage and deleted automatically after 1 hour (with a background cleanup sweep every 10 minutes).
  • Intermediate conversion files for PDFs and documents are removed immediately in cleanup blocks when processing finishes.
  • Camera and EXIF metadata is stripped from processed output images by default.
  • We do not require user accounts, set tracking cookies, or use browser analytics.

Files You Upload

When you select an image, PDF, or document, your file is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server for processing.

Single image resizing runs in transient server memory. The buffer is held only for the seconds needed to process it and streams directly back without touching storage disks.

Batch operations (up to 5 images with a 25 MB ceiling, or up to 3 PDFs and documents with a 10 MB ceiling) save processed files to a restricted temporary directory on our server so that you can download individual files or a ZIP archive. These temporary files are deleted automatically after 1 hour by a background sweep that runs every 10 minutes.

PDF compression and document conversions generate isolated temporary working files during processing. In all cases, including instances where processing fails due to corrupted files or unsupported inputs, these temporary files are deleted immediately in cleanup execution blocks.

Information We May Collect

We believe in collecting only the bare technical minimum required to operate a reliable web service:

  • Technical Connection Data: Standard web servers and hosting infrastructure receive regular HTTP headers, including your IP address, browser type, and timestamp, processed transiently for routing, security, and uptime monitoring.
  • Fair-Use Rate Limiting: To guard against automated abuse, our server tracks request counts per IP address in transient memory over a 60-second window (60 general, 10 document, and 120 download requests per minute). This counter lives strictly in active memory and is never written to disk.
  • Self-Hosted Typography: All typography is self-hosted directly from the same origin as the application. Your browser does not connect to external font delivery networks, and no font requests are made to third-party services.
  • No Cookies or Analytics: We do not set persistent or session cookies, and we do not utilize third-party analytics platforms, tracking pixels, or browser local storage and session storage.

Image Metadata

Photographs taken with modern smartphones and digital cameras frequently embed EXIF metadata, which can include sensitive details such as GPS location coordinates, camera models, and capture timestamps.

Our image processing pipeline removes camera and EXIF metadata by default from output files, helping to safeguard your physical location and decrease file weight before you upload pictures to public websites.

How We Use Information

Any technical data and file buffers we handle are used exclusively to deliver your requested transformations, verify system performance, and safeguard our infrastructure against abuse.

We do not inspect file contents for marketing purposes, create behavioral profiles, or use your documents to train machine learning models.

Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, monetize, or disclose your uploaded files or technical data to commercial third parties or advertising brokers.

Data is processed only through our hosting and infrastructure providers as strictly required to route traffic and maintain server availability, or if required by applicable law in response to a valid legal order.

Data Retention

Transient memory buffers for single file resizing are discarded once the HTTP connection closes. Processed batch archives are retained for 1 hour from creation to allow download, after which an automated cleanup process permanently deletes the files during a sweep that runs every 10 minutes.

Any temporary files generated during PDF or document conversions are purged immediately in execution cleanup blocks. For exhaustive architectural disclosures regarding server temporary directories, unlinking mechanics, and rate limiting in memory, review our technical explanation of how we handle your files.

Security Measures

We implement reasonable technical and architectural safeguards, including modern TLS/HTTPS encryption for data in transit, path traversal defenses, and strict file isolation, to protect your uploads.

However, no method of electronic transmission or server storage is completely impenetrable. If you are handling highly sensitive, classified, or confidential legal or financial records, we recommend not uploading them to online web utilities.

Your Choices and Requests

Because ImageDocResizer does not utilize user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles, there are no account settings to manage. If you have questions about a recently processed batch or wish to request expedited manual removal of a file before the 1-hour expiration window elapses, please contact our team.

Children

ImageDocResizer is a general utility designed for students, job applicants, and professionals; it is not directed toward children under 13 years of age.
